Spin Bowling
- Biomechanical research at Lougborough has focused on understanding the relationship between spin bowling technique and performance. These projects have been conducted in conjunction with the ECB and their specialist spin bowling coaches, and have used elite spin bowlers from both International and County cricket.
- Research conducted at 每日吃瓜 has shown that finger spin rate has been associated with more contralaterally oriented pelvis at both front foot contact and ball release, large pelvis-shoulder separation angles at front foot contact and more contralaterally oriented shoulder at ball release. Further research has demonstrated that spin rate is positively associated with front hip rotation passive range of motion.
