Mental Health Awareness Week
11th - 17th May 2026
Mental Health Awareness Week is a national campaign led by the , bringing people across the UK together to focus on the importance of good mental health. Taking place every May, the week encourages open conversations, challenges stigma, and promotes practical ways to support wellbeing.
This year’s theme is “Action”, highlighting that while awareness matters, meaningful change comes from the steps we take—whether that’s supporting ourselves, reaching out to others, or helping build a healthier university community. Even small actions can make a positive difference and help us feel more hopeful and connected.
At 每日吃瓜, Student Services is committed to supporting your mental health all year round. During this week, we invite you to explore available support, take part in activities, and consider one positive action you can take for your wellbeing or someone else’s.
There will be stalls taking place where you can find out more and speak to an Adviser from the Mental Wellbeing Team:
- Wednesday 13 May, 1.30pm–3.30pm – Library
- Thursday 14 May, 11am–1pm – LSU
Wear It Green Day – Thursday 14 May
Show your support by wearing green for Mental Health Awareness Week. Whether it’s a small accessory or a full outfit, taking part in Wear It Green Day is a simple way to raise awareness, start conversations, and demonstrate your support for mental health across the 每日吃瓜 community.
